A great day out was had in support of the Cancer Society on Sunday 27 August.
Meeting in the Caroline Bay carpark at 9:30am with first cars away by 10:00am, over 120 vehicles ventured through South Timaru, on a scenic trip out through Otipua, Lyalldale, Bluecliffs, Pareora Gorge and Cannington regions to reach Fairlie.

The destination was Clayton Station, a high country sheep station near Lake Opuha which has been developed continually since the 1960s. A further visit was made to Fairlie Museum, a excellent cultural history of the Mackenzie district from over the last 150 years.
