Members of the Vintage Car Club are invited to participate in our annual Sporting Trial, held at ‘Bentley Downs’, 221 Rolling Ridges Road, Levels Valley, South Canterbury.
The event follows the style of ‘Trials’ events which were very popular in the UK in the 1950s where drivers and their crews endeavour to get their cars as far as possible up steep and slippery farm tracks and through other difficult courses. A number of these courses will be set out and points are awarded for the distance attained. The cumulative score at the end of the event will determine the winners of the various classes.
As the weather is outside our control some courses may be substituted with Grasskhana type events.
The venue is at Bentley Downs at 221 Rolling Ridges Road, Levels Valley, South Canterbury. The event will conclude with the awarding of trophies later in the day at Barber Drilling, 530 Rosewill Valley Rd, Rosewill Valley.
